The requirements of the competition task are there to be smoker’s part and non-smoker’s part of the hall, there is bar-station with equal access from both halls and with connection to the kitchen. About the atmosphere of the restaurant, we have to use natural materials to create domesticity and the name speaks for itself – the association of The Disk World.
The functional scheme that we’ve chosen consists of compact service zone at the far end of the space, two intransitive and equivalent halls with independent entrances. On its base, we chose three directions of thinking, depending of the way of treating the separation of the hall. The first direction is subordinated to the mystic nature of the turtle A-twin, the second literally is throwing us in the world of Pratchet, where the grass is growing upside down, the third one prejudice us for adventure, with the association of sea trip or alpine tour.
